History of the Flag of Turkmenistan

Turkmens are a nation belonging to the Oghuz tribe of the Turkish race. Apart from the Oghuz, there are two other parts of the Turkish nation. They are the Kipchaks and the Uighurs. Today, Turkmens live in many different parts of the world and their homeland is Turkmenistan. Turkmens exist in various regions such as Iraq, Syria and Anatolia. On the right side of the carpet motifs, there are 5 stars and a crescent at the top. What is meant by five stars are the five regions of the country.
